Shutter Sounds

Hi,
This is my first blog on photography. Well, I have just started off and would improve as time passes by (At least, That's what I hope! :) )
I had participated in a Sony24share competition that celebrated Independence Day through the eyes of the Youth from 24 different colleges across in India. We had to use their Sony Alpha 57 camera, as that was the prize for the winner too.

Focal length - 26mm, F/25 , Exp time: 1/60, Exp comp - 1 step

Bansuriwala - This was the picture that I took at Juhu Beach, Mumbai. I saw him from a distance as he churned out some famous tunes from bollywood films. I just loved the way he was standing over looking the sea and playing his flute.

focal length - 30mm , F/29 , Exp time - 1/100
Young Guns of India - As I mentioned before, This was for a competition, I first thought I will buy a huge flag and make people pose for it. But as the time provided was less, I couldn't find a big flag immediately. So, I thought of using dupattas. I found some kids playing at the beach after a half day at school and requested them to pose for it. I love the contrast of the background of the beach and the richness of the colors from the dupattas, it sets the boys apart.

Time to play : These two boys had come with their family for an outing. Their parents were busy posing for another photographer, while these two kids just wanted to have some fun! Personally, I love shooting kids. They give you the most innocent and true emotions. And I am sure they didn't mind their parents leaving them alone for a while!

Will Upload more soon. See you :)
